WHEN: October 8, 2011 • Gates open at 12:00pm The 8th Annual Plaza Midwood-Chantilly Chili Cook-Off is almost here! Join us on October 8, 2011 at the MMR Racing Parking lot for a fun-filled, family-friendly day. Then put the kids to bed and enjoy live music for a rockin' good time at night. The event will feature cooks and their teams from local businesses and restaurants, as well as some entrepreneurial, individual cooks competing for trophies - along with bragging rights for a full year! The proceeds for this event help an important organization within the Charlotte region - Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. Why did we choose to help this organization? Check out our history, it explains everything. So what else happens, other than having the best chili cook-off around? Other activities include: Live music from local bands will play all day and night! Check back soon for a detailed lineup... Do you own a motorcycle? Then bring it with you for our Ride-In Motorcycle Show. Trophies will be awarded! We'll also be holding a raffle throughout the day, so buy some tickets and take a chance on some really great prizes from local businesses. We'll post more information as it comes in. And last but not least, please don't forget that we'll have a lot of homemade sweets for you to choose from!
